What is Wellness?


I found this definition of WELLNESS online:










Medicine treats illness with drugs and surgeries - which may be needed at times - but rarely does an illness come from nowhere. Being sick is mostly the cumulative effect of poor lifestyle choices like bad diet, lack of movement, chronic mental-emotional stress, and not insisting on personal re-creation time. 


Believing the idea that our body and mind are separate has given rise to the destructive "take-a-pill-for-it" medical industry that has created a world of addicts and zombies. Drugs and surgery won't ever take you to the root cause of your problems. In fact, they'll take you farther away, convincing you that that answer is wholly outside of you, and not within you.

No doubt you can see around you (or even ...closer?) the effects of the decline of America’s health. A few minutes online will show you that we are in a one-way the race to the bottom, with our under-age-50 population leading all other developed nations in heart disease, diabetes, cancer, and obesity. 

That’s a tragedy ...especially considering that our medical/pharmaceutical health-care system is the most expensive in the world - over 6 times the nearest - yet it’s by far the least effective at healing anything. What modern medicine is best at is downright disturbing:  A 2018 Johns Hopkins study showed that medical errors are the third-leading cause of death after heart disease and cancer ...killing more than 250,000 people in the U.S. every year. 


Medicine is a failing system no longer driven by scientific breakthroughs that will help humanity. Instead, Big Medicine and Big Pharma have now settled into a “for-profit” mode of creating more drugs in search of an illness.

Healing (as opposed to curing symptoms) involves a deeper understanding of the interconnectedness of not only our reaction to our external environment, but also the responses from our internal environment. We are designed to be fluid, at-ease, responsive beings ...not tense, dis-ease wrought machines reacting to everything.

So ....where will you get the help you need? If you're reading this, that's a start. But only a start. You need a guide.
